I’d like to be a guest on your programming podcast

Hi, I’m Jason Swett. I’d like to be on your podcast. Let me tell you about myself and what I can provide to you and your show.

Who I am and I can bring to the table

I’m a writer, speaker, teacher and developer with 15+ years of programming experience. I’ve taught and spoken in several countries.

Here are the topics I often like to discuss:

  • Testing (I wrote a whole testing book)
  • Working effectively with legacy code (I’ve given conference talks about this)
  • Refactoring
  • Project scoping, setting realistic expectations and delivering on time

I can talk about a whole lot more than just those, but those are some of my favorites.

Samples of past podcast appearances and conference talks

Remote Ruby – In this episode I talked with Jason Charnes and Chris Oliver about improving legacy projects.

devpath.fm – I talk with host Jacob Herrington about my career story and share some career advice.

Rails with Jason – This is a sample of my own podcast. In this episode I interview Michael Hartl, creator of The Ruby on Rails Tutorial.

Using Tests as a Tool to Wrangle Legacy Projects – This is a conference talk I gave at RubyHACK in Salt Lake City, Utah.
